Easing into the design
I've noticed when doing a self portrait the beginning of the design is the most frustrating part as I felt like I wanted the image to look like me straight away. However I've found that when doing \any design the begging part is more about the flow and being creative, you can always render later on.
Now I feel like my painting is slowly coming together but I still need to give it that extra character hmmmm maybe something I can relate to myself? I don't want this to be a standard self portrait I want more character.

Calling it a "Goodnight World"
Right this painting is proving very difficult so I'm going to get some shut eye and hope for a bright morning! Hmmmm I kinda want to get some reflective materials into this painting some how? Also the facial expression need more character....... Damn what to do?!
Tough task ahead!
Hmm got home to hit the hay but couldn't seem to enter the dream land so I'm guna work on my Self Portrait that I want to get down before going to 'Dare to be Digital 2013' with my fellow 'Lunavarks'.
This task is proving very difficult already as I'm fully aware of any mistakes as I know exactly what I look like so if anything is slightly off it irritates me like crazy. I think i need to keep my marks more loose and just keep building up shapes overtime as i fear to much thinking and detail could be my down fall.

Self Portrait Importance
Many Artists including Master Artists such as 'Vincent Van Gogh' have practiced and made studies of them selves to improve and express their artistic abilities. I have set a task where I must create a well proportioned portrait using myself as the model. Although this painting is purely a study of the human face I want to add character and show emotion.
So I've come up with a quick sketch to help me get an idea of the form and shape of the painting. During the process I noticed how its more challenging to paint yourself as your very conscious of what you look like. I feel that this task will help me become a better artist and soon I will be able to import these skills onto my artwork.
I'm not going crazy tonight as I lack sleep from last nights study so I will stop the process for now and start early in the morning,
