The Golden Compass directed by Chris Weitz has created a world where human souls are called daemons and take form of an animal which lives as a separate object with form, weight and movement. The Daemons visuals are chosen depending on the characters attitude and personality for an example an angry and sad man could have a badger daemon. However when you are a child your daemon doesn't take full for until puberty.
This Idea links extremely well with my story because my idea show how the family of four have a guardian which protects them and influences them. Also the characters visuals and clothing is also inspired by their guardians. My primary character called the Horned Bear will have a guardian which protects her and takes form of a giant bear with four horns.
I have been influenced by this film and I will start to grow my idea and possibly making my guardian idea for more exciting and structured. I want the Guardians to have a meaning and a reason for existing.
