The Art of Final Fantasy IX

Final Fantasy IX has always been one of my personal favorite story and game as I was very drawn into the games design and style. So having that in mind I wanted to see if there where any art books for the game and i was in luck.

I managed to get hold of the book and at first glance I was fairly disappointed with the concept art as I felt that they lacked structure and form however after the first few pages beautiful artwork started to appear. The artwork manages to show the characters personality and their functions very well. My favorite page of the book is the chocobo designs as the character is well drawn and looks very professional. They have made a front, side and back view of the character which is very similar to my 2D turntable idea also they have conceptualized the characters expressions.

I really like the layout of the character pages however I don't like             the overall book layout as I feel it looks rushed.
