Katsushika Hokusai: Geisha

Katsushika Hokusai well known for his Japanese wood block prints is one of my favourite artists although my style isn't simulur to his I often use his work as reference. He is mainly known for his The Great Wave of Kanagawa print and thirty six views of Mount Fuji. Although these prints are very impressive I practically like his geisha prints as their faces are different to any-other artist. I also like how he exaggerates features like the eyes and the nose.

I have made my own interpretation of his art and tried to stick to the original image as I like its form but I have tried to use highlights.
